Types of drilling and high pressure hoses:
In oil and gas drilling industries, high pressure Hoses are always used for fluid transfer, which are as follows in a general classification of the types of Hoses:
Hoses used to transfer drilling mud, which are generally called Rotary Hose, and according to the drilling industry standard, must be API 7K certified. Types of these Rotary Hoses based on the place of application:
The mud pump connected to the Stand pipe with a Hose Vibrator.
The connection of the stand pipe to the Top drive device is with the top drive hose.
The connection of the stand pipe to Kelly is with Kelly hose.
Bop Hose is responsible for transferring oil and fluid and the standard required for these hoses is API 16D, and according to the request of consumers, it is possible to cover the hose with metal protective layers.
Choke and kill Hose, which is responsible for transferring the erupted fluid to reduce pressure to prevent possible damage to the drilling rig. The standard for these hoses is API 16C.
Suction hose, which is usually used to transfer water to the drilling mud making site, transfer saline water to the desalination plant, etc. Usually, these hoses do not have high pressure and API 7K and DIN standards are approved for such hoses.
Water Jet Hose, Hydraulic Hose, Air Hose, etc., which are used in other parts of the rig.
