Drilling Valves

VALVES

Types of drilling valves:

Industrial valves are a device that controls the pressure and flow of a fluid during a process. The main functions of lions include the following:

Complete disconnection and connection of current

Control the flow and pressure of the flow

Directs or controls the flow of a fluid

Control and keep devices under pressure

There are many types of valves that can have one or more of the above functions depending on their structure.

The main components of valves include body, cap and bonnet, trim, actuator and packing ropes.

A number of types of valves:

Globe Valves:

This valve takes its name from the spherical shape of its body, which is spherical in shape, and its internal structure is such that the liquid changes direction from the point of entry into the valve to its exit 180 degrees. The structure of the vent and the seat are such that as soon as the flow of contact is established, they are cut off from each other. Also, not fully opening the spherical valve does not cause it to wear out. Therefore, it can be used to regulate and control the flow. Proportion of the number of revolutions of the valve handle to the volume of the liquid outlet makes it easy to adjust the flow rate by hand.

Ball Valve:

These types of valves are also called impact valves. The flow of water in this type of valves passes through the hole of a spherical ball which is in a perfectly polished spherical position. To open and close this type of valve, like samovar valves, only a 90-degree rotation of the handle is enough. These valves also provide little resistance to water flow. These types of valves can be used in hot and cold water piping as well as low pressure gas piping.

Gate Valves:

These valves are mostly used in places that want to open and close the fluid flow completely. One of the properties of these valves is low pressure drop along it, therefore, these valves are used in the way of long pipes. When the drawer or gate is completely directed upwards, it flows out of the flow path of the fluid and as a result has no resistance against the passage of flow, but if the drawer is directed to its lowest point, the fluid is created due to change of direction and collision with the drawer. Turbulence and pressure drop. In plumbing, most of the pipe and valve are connected (by welding or by screws), but in general, the connection of valve and pipe is done by flanges, bolts and nuts, and to prevent leakage between the flange pipe, a valve or gasket is placed. Becomes.

Pressure Relief Valves:

The terms safety valve and pressure relief valve are commonly used interchangeably. The appearance and work that they do in both types of milk is the same, and that is to limit the amount of pressure of a liquid, vapor or gas by draining part of that fluid. Safety valves are commonly used for air and water vapor. These valves are characterized by their rapid opening and closing. Pressure relief valves are generally used for liquids and they open or close slowly when the pressure is high or low.
